WHAT:
As a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic, the number of cases involving mental health has been on the rise. ARI Financial Group, through its philanthropic arm, ARI Financial Foundation, has chosen to sponsor first responders and veterans through Pathwaves’ NeuroEmpowerment™ program, to help them with issues such as PTSD, Anxiety, Depression and more. This is possible through the leadership and coordination of Aventura Commissioner Gladys Mezrahi. As the Commissioner worked on passing legislation around Suicide Prevention, she also facilitated for ARI Financial Foundation to be able to sponsor four Police Officers from the Aventura Police Department and two female Veterans involved with the “She Chose to Serve” non-profit. The sponsorship will run from September through November, very relevant months to create awareness and make an impact around mental health issues: September is Suicide Prevention Month, the first week of October is Mental Illness Awareness Week and in November we commemorate National Veterans Day.

The Pathwaves NeuroEmpowerment™ program provides long-term sustainable mental health improvements, and relief from disorders. This transformative methodology can effectively identify, predict and prevent suicidal behavior. It will also facilitate for first responders and veterans to be at their highest mental aptitude and equip them with the tools and mental fortitude to adapt as they progress through their professional career and life.

ARI Financial Foundation hopes to inspire other organizations and individuals to consider making an impact around this issue in the next few months; this may be by sponsoring one or more first-responders and/or veterans through the Pathwaves program; or simply creating awareness.
