Weston, FL — On April 29th, Temple Dor Dorim hosted its 25th Annual Gala to benefit Temple Dor Dorim (TDD) and all its programs, including the Religious School and Early Childhood Center and HAAPE (Helping Adults with Autism Perform, and Excel.) HAAPE is a local Weston all-volunteer organization that strives to improve the lives of young adults with autism.
This year’s gala theme, Welcome to the Jungle! Was a fun way to connect friends of Temple Dor Dorim, who gathered under one roof to give back to an organization that has given the community so much throughout the years. Janet Henfield-Green, Business Development Manager for South Florida, US & Latin America had the opportunity to support and participate in a delightful night filled with great food and drinks and fantastic surprises. Janet is an avid supporter of numerous organizations in the community and actively participates in philanthropic initiatives every year. As a matter of fact, she was recently appointed as Board Director of Camillus Health Concern, a not-for-profit organization that provides access to state-of-the-art health services to the homeless, displaced, and uninsured population. She is their first woman board member from the finance industry.
Temple Dor Dorim’s Early Childhood Center (ECC), Religious School, and the Sisterhood have positively impacted many people across the generations. On the other hand, HAAPE programs are designed to help our communities while guiding, teaching, and providing helpful job skills for adults with autism. They offer five educational, training, and employment programs promoting financial and personal independence. Just like Temple Dor Dorim, the members of HAAPE strive to better the lives of those around them daily. For this reason and many more, TDD honored them as their 2023 Charity Partner.
ARI Foundation, the philanthropic arm of ARI Financial, remains committed to making a difference in the world by proudly supporting inspirational initiatives like this one from TDD, which supports the local causes of early childhood education (emotional, physical, and cognitive growth) with annual camps and religious Jewish school and youth programs.
