Marlene Windmiller, Esq. is a Managing Partner at ARI Financial Group, where she has led domestic and international business development since 2014. With more than two decades of experience spanning law, finance, and institutional advisory, her work focuses on the design and implementation of complex planning structures for high-net-worth individuals, families, and the institutions that advise them.
Marlene operates less as a traditional advisor and more as a strategic partner to private banks, attorneys, and internal legal and wealth teams. She works closely with these groups to identify structural gaps in existing planning—particularly around liquidity, multigenerational wealth transfer, and risk exposure—and to design integrated solutions that align legal, tax, and financial objectives. Her approach is highly collaborative, often serving as a bridge between external advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure that planning is not only technically sound, but executable within the realities of each client’s broader balance sheet and governance structure.
Her background as an attorney informs both her analytical rigor and her perspective. Prior to ARI, Marlene co-founded Klein Windmiller, a boutique legal consulting firm advising law firms, financial institutions, hedge funds, and Fortune 500 companies on talent strategy and organizational build-out. This experience, combined with her early career in bankruptcy law, gives her a practical understanding of how structures perform under stress—not just how they are designed on paper.
At ARI, Marlene focuses on developing customized strategies that often incorporate advanced insurance planning and financing structures as part of a broader framework for preserving liquidity, protecting wealth, and creating long-term family infrastructure. She is known for her ability to simplify highly technical concepts and guide both clients and advisors through complex decision-making with clarity and precision.
Her work has been recognized with multiple industry distinctions, including qualification for President’s Council, Executive Club, and Leader’s Club, and she was named New Agent of the Year early in her tenure—reflecting both technical execution and strategic impact.
Marlene holds a Juris Doctor from Albany Law School and graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany. She is admitted to the New York State Bar.
